Please check back for impromptu rides throughout the season, but for now, that is all. If you have any suggestions for next year, please feel free to express them. Thank you for another safe and productive winter training program. Now, go race your bike!!!!
We will officially resume the first weekend in November and it will culminate the last weekend in January with the Pine Mtn. adventure.

Rules of the Nectar
What:
Peach peloton is a program of rides starting in November with 2.5-3 hr rides lasting through February with 5+ hour rides culminating in 2 great events; the 125 mile Pine Mtn. Challenge and the race around Macon early Spring Classic. All rides will take place at 9 am on Saturday morning and will alternate between the north side (Howard Middle School) and the east side (Geico). The route, distance, and start location will be posted each week, along with other pertinent information such as store stops and attack zone locations.
Pace:
The pace is intended to be a casual pace and we will usually end up with an average of around 18 mph. This doesn’t mean 10 mph in the beginning at 30 at the end; this is a steady pace down hill and uphill. If you are doing 25 mph downhill, please don’t try to do 25 mph uphill. I don’t expect everyone to pull, nor do I care if you pull. If it is your maiden voyage with us, please stay at the back and out of the way; listen and learn. If you get dropped, we will not wait. If you get a flat or mechanical, we all wait. These rides are not for you to come and do you FTP tests or any type of interval. The only exception to the pace will be the attack zones.
Route:
I will post a map every week with a new route. I don’t print or provide you with any extra information, the map is a bonus. Don’t call, email, or bother me about where you can meet us and at what time we will be at a certain spot because I don’t care. The library has internet access, use it to find your way.
Etiquette:
We ride 2 abreast at all times unless otherwise prohibited. This doesn’t mean one on the white line and one on the yellow line, shoulder to shoulder. Stop signs and red lights are for us also, we will stop. If we get separated at a light, we will wait until all have regrouped. You must always wear your helmet. Golden Rule: NEVER ride over the yellow line! Common sense, right; apparently not, so please abide and bring this rule to your fellow training partners attention.
Fun:
These are training rides, take the time to catch up with someone you usually don’t get to see face to face. Talk about cheap liquor and Sarah Palin. But also understand, you are engaging in a dangerous activity and at your own risk.
